Congratulations to the new Drs. Andrew and Aline Donati!
Andrew and Aline’s love story began in 2012 when they met at the McGovern Medical School in Houston, TX. It wasn’t until 2014, after they’d sipped litres of Starbucks’ coffee and talked for hours on top of the medical school’s parking garage, that they moved out of the ‘friend zone’.
After dating for 16 months, Andrew decided that the Bill Coats bridge at Hermann Park was the perfect place to propose...and Aline said yes! My friend Sharon immediately recommended me to take their engagement pictures.
To be honest, I was a little nervous about this shoot since I’d never met them before and I’’m a bit introverted. However, upon meeting at 7:30am, I couldn’t have been more excited! Aline had requested the UT Physicians Building parking garage rooftop as the backdrop for their portraits...with the downtown Houston skyline, as well as the Texas Medical Center skyline, in the background, this was going to be epic.
Andrew introduced Aline to running and races….they often trained on the running trail next to Braes Bayou. Photographs on the trails and at the Bill Coats bridge were also a must! We had such a blast, and we didn’t want to stop shooting!
I was happy to include them in my bluebonnet mini sessions this March. They are such a beautiful and sweet couple. Andrew and Aline got married a few days before they graduated medical school together this May! They’re moving to San Antonio to start their residency programs in just a week or two.
Join me in congratulating them on their successes and wishing them very best in their marriage!
